“Trail X Art : Creativity in Nature During Covid”

Trail X Art started during Covid. The idea was simple but powerful, to bring kids outdoors, let them explore nature, observe the world around them, and express those experiences through art.

When Covid came, it would have been easy to stop. Kids had to wear masks, and outdoor activities felt uncertain. But we didn’t let that stop us. Instead, we adapted.

We still went out on trails. We still paused to notice the small details... the veins on a leaf, the sunlight dancing on water, the quiet colours of the forest. With masks on, the children learned to slow down even more, to really see.

And from those observations came their art... sketches, paintings, and little creations that reflected both the world around them and the resilience within them.

For me, Trail X Art was never just about art. It was about showing kids that no matter the circumstances, creativity and curiosity can always find a way to bloom. Even in difficult times, we can still explore, still observe, and still create.
