At Buddy Sports, I believe water is more than just a place to swim — it’s a teacher.

Through guided pool and open-water experiences, I help children become calm, confident, and capable by learning to navigate, move, and problem-solve in the water. Away from distractions, children discover how to trust their own abilities, stay focused, and respond calmly in new situations.

These programmes are shaped by my own journey. I’m a former SAF Commando Ranger, with over 10 years of service, including extensive training in water operations. Much of what I learned about focus, risk management, and decision-making under pressure now guides how I teach children — carefully adapted into a child-safe, supportive approach, never driven by fear or force.

Each session gently challenges children in safe, meaningful ways, helping them build:

 🌱 Calmness  — staying composed, aware, and relaxed in the water
 🧭 Confidence  — developed through mastering skills, facing challenges, and trusting their abilities
 🤝 Capability  — problem-solving, teamwork, adaptability, and water safety awareness

Water creates real situations that can’t be replicated elsewhere. Children learn to assess risks, make thoughtful decisions, and support one another — skills that carry into everyday life beyond the pool.

Most importantly, I focus on creating a safe and encouraging environment where children feel supported to explore, try, and grow at their own pace.
