At Buddy Sports, I believe the forest is a place where children

learn to think, adapt, and work together.

Unlike controlled indoor environments, the forest is dynamic. The ground is uneven, paths change, and situations often push children out of their comfort zones. Learning to navigate these challenges helps them grow resilience and confidence. This is exactly why forest adventures help children become calm, confident, and capable in real-world situations.

These programmes are shaped by my experience as a former SAF Commando Ranger, where I spent over 10 years training and leading teams in complex outdoor environments. From navigation and risk assessment to quick decision-making under pressure, I learned how to stay calm, think ahead, and guide others safely. I’ve adapted these skills into a child-safe, supportive approach, so children can experience real challenges, learn to overcome uncomfortable situations, and grow — without fear or undue risk.

During forest adventure sessions, we help children build:

 🌱 Calmness  — staying grounded and focused in unfamiliar outdoor environments
 🧭 Confidence  — gained through navigating, exploring, and overcoming small,

uncomfortable challenges
 🤝 Capability  — problem-solving, adaptability, and leadership in dynamic situations

Every session is thoughtfully planned and closely supervised. Challenges are introduced progressively, allowing children to step out of their comfort zones safely, stretch their limits,

and learn to trust themselves and their team.

The forest teaches patience, awareness, and cooperation. Children learn that capability is not about being the fastest or strongest... but about staying calm, thinking clearly,

and supporting one another when facing challenges.
