Buddy Sports didn’t come from a franchise playbook. It was created at the intersection of real-life experience, personal passion, and the background of our founder, Coach Ling:

Military Water Reconnaissance & Safety
Shaped by over a decade in the military as an SAF Commando Ranger, Coach Ling learned that panic in dynamic environments is the real danger, and composure is the cure. He transformed tactical water safety and survival principles into a child-friendly, safe coaching system. -
Specialized Early Childhood Care (From Happy Fish Swim School)
Through extensive experience at Happy Fish Swim School, Coach Ling specialized in coaching infants and young toddlers aged 4 months to 4 years old. Recognizing that trust must always come before technique, he developed a deep mastery of early childhood psychology, gentle water familiarization, and techniques that make even the most nervous toddlers feel safe, confident, and happy in the water. -
Fine Art & Design (NAFA)
As a graduate of the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), Coach Ling brought visual observation, patience, and creative problem-solving into the program—ensuring sports aren't rigid, but joyful and expressive.
By pairing rigorous safety and specialized toddler care with artistic empathy, Buddy Sports bridges the gap between physical resilience and emotional growth.
